In early August, 38-year-old Fire Fighter Specialist Ismael Villalta-Ayala passed away unexpectedly.  He had faithfully served the Los Angeles County Fire Department for 12 years.

In his memory, a flag ceremony was held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Fire Station 7 in West Hollywood where he was last assigned.  FFS Villalta-Ayala’s family members, friends, and colleagues attended the solemn ceremony.

The following day, on Thursday, September 1, a memorial service was held for him at Shepherd Church in Porter Ranch.  At the service, a flag that flew over Fire Station 7 was formally presented to FFS Villalta-Ayala’s wife Cristina and their newborn son.

Family and friends remember FFS Villalta-Ayala for being very close to his family and always wanting to support and provide for them as best he could.  Along with his wife and newborn son, he was also survived by his mother and two sisters.
