The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) arranged a visit with the Silva family who lost their home due to a kitchen fire. Now in a new home, local firefighters from Fire Station 44 were joined by Chief Deputy Jon O’Brien, Assistant Fire Chief Steven Cabrera, and Fire Captain David Dantic to deliver to the Silva’s new smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detectors generously donated to the Department by Kidde.

In addition to installing the new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home, firefighters brought Christmas gifts to share with the teenage children in the household. It was a great time spent with the Silva family.

The LACoFD reminds residents to protect their families and homes by properly installing smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors and regularly testing them.
